In the beginning ……

As every story has a “Once upon a time” …… In 2005, Nancy Goodrich, a veteran in the restaurant industry decided to open her own place, Nancy G’s Café. After 10 years of cultivating this neighborhood spot, she brought on the addition of her husband, Colman to co-manage. Then she decided it was time for the restaurant to take its next step and developed a new identity now known as Southern Bistro.

The name Southern Bistro represented the restaurant’s mission: to provide a curated dining experience that featured southern inspired cooking in a comfortable and simplistic atmosphere with warm personal service.

In 2018, Nancy & Colman brought on Justin Keith as restaurant consultant to strengthen the kitchen. Once they witnessed his capabilities extended well beyond the line, they made him a partner of the restaurant.

Since then they have strengthened their grass roots, neighborhood following and have even been recognized by the Sandy Springs Chamber of Commerce as Restaurant of the Year as well as many other accolades.

Justin purchased Southern Bistro at beginning of 2022. The transition signals a lifelong dream of having his own restaurant while building on the original dreams of Nancy & Colman. Now Southern Bistro’s legacy and commitment to its community customers lay in the capable, creative, and committed hands of its new owner, Justin Keith.

ABOUT:

Justin is a south Georgia native who has been cooking and working in restaurants for over 20 years. He moved to Atlanta in 2002 after completing his training at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, an affiliate of Le Cordon and a Business Management degree from Valdosta State University.

He lives in Peachtree Corners with his wife Emma and has 3 daughters Ella, Olive & Charly along with their golden lab Oakley.
